Kaju Katli with Palm Jaggery - Karupatti Kaju Katli - Palm Jaggery Recipes

This palm jaggery kaju katli is the best, quick and easy sweet prepared with just three ingredients. After starting my Virundhombal Foods , I make kaju katli with sugar regularly for my customers' orders. So, while doing it regularly, I learnt many tips and tricks in Kaju katli. If you are planning for small family occasions or parties, try this kaju katli. This is also perfect for kids' birthday gifts.  This kaju katli stays good for more than a week without refrigeration. You will come across several different ways in which you can prepare katlis. But I follow the same method every time, using my favourite hard anodised kadai. All you need to make kaju katli are three basic ingredients. Cashew nuts, palm jaggery and ghee. Make sure you use fresh whole cashew nuts. Add enough cashew nuts that the blade of your mixer jar is well covered. Because if you don't add enough, then it won't grind properly. Using the big mixer jar for 1 cup cashew nuts will grind perfectly. Gri...

Carrot Halwa - Gajar Ka Halwa - Carrot Halwa without kova and condensed milk

This Carrot halwa is a classic dessert from North India made with Delhi red carrots, milk, sugar, nuts and ghee. This recipe will give you the perfect, rich and melt in your mouth carrot halwa. It is a healthy dessert when compared to other halwa dishes. As carrots are naturally sweet, we are adding very less sugar and ghee and no kova. The cooking methods are also easy. The only tough part is grating the carrots evenly without any solid pieces and stirring constantly for 1 to 1.5 hours. In this recipe, I have used Delhi carrots which are slightly pink in colour. You can also use orange Ooty carrots which are widely available in our markets. Try to use fresh, bright and juicy carrots.  I always prefer to use full cream milk for carrot halwa as it adds richness and creaminess to the halwa. For flavours I have added cardamom and you can also use a few saffron strands. For parties you can serve this halwa with a scoop of Vanilla ice cream and chopped pistachio nuts on the top. It tast...

Milk Halwa - Paal Halwa - Easy Dessert Recipes

Milk Halwa - if you want to prepare an easy and delicious dessert for Krishna Jeyanthi try this milk halwa recipe. This milk halwa includes only four ingredients which are easily available in your kitchen. It's very rich that melts in your mouth. If this is your first time to try milk halwa, I'm sure your whole family will love it.  The ingredients in this recipe are milk, sugar, rava and ghee. If you like to add any nuts, you can include it. Full fat milk is used in this recipe, as it gives more flavour. I have not tried it with low fat milk. The secret to the texture of this dessert lies in the addition of the rava. All you needed to do is to stir everything in the kadai. Stir continuously until the halwa thickens. Though it is easy to make, this halwa requires a little patience as it takes about 10 minutes of constant stirring in the final stage to prevent the halwa from forming lumps and sticking to the bottom of the kadai. This milk halwa tastes good for 3 to 4 days if sto...
