A simple and healthy mixed vegetables bhath with millets, dals and mixed vegetables. Extra vegetables can be added if you wish. This is a satisfying meal that is low on calories and also healthy. Now we will see how to prepare kodo millet vegetable bhath with step by step photos.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup kodomillet rice (varagu rice)
- 1/4 cup moong dal
- 10 small onions
- 1 tomato
- 1 green chilly
- 1 medium Carrot
- 5 green beans
- 1 brinjal
- 1/4 cup green peas
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp sambar powder
- 1/4 tsp asafoetida powder
- 1/4 tsp mustard
- 1/4 tsp urid dal
- few coriander leaves
- few curry leaves
- 1 tsp oil
- 1 tsp ghee
- salt
1. Wash and soak the moong dal with 1/4 cup of water for 10 minutes. Wash the rice gently and drain the water completely.
2. Meanwhile do the preparation for the bhath. Peel the small onions, slit the green chilly, peel and chop the carrots, cut the beans, brinjals and tomato.
3. Heat oil and ghee in a pressure cooker and add mustard and urid dal. Let them crackle and add the small onions and green chilly. Saute it for 2 minutes.
4. Next add carrots, beans, brinjals and green peas. Saute it for a minute and add the tomatoes and curry leaves.
5. Then add 1.5 cups of water, required salt, turmeric powder, sambar powder and asafoetida powder.
6. When it starts boiling add the soaked dal and drained rice.
8. Open the cooker and add the chopped coriander leaves. Gently mix the rice and transfer it to the serving dish.
