This onion garlic coconut thuvaiyal is the perfect accompaniment for any type of dosas. The small onions and garlics add a great flavour and colour. I like this thuvaiyal very much because it is easy, fast and always delicious! See how to make this yummy thuvaiyal.

Total time : 12 minutes

Yield : 1 cup

Ingredients 
  • 7 red chillies
  • 3/4 cup grated coconut
  • small piece tamarind
  • 8 small onions
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • salt
  • water

 Cooking Directions




1. Soak the tamarind in water for 5 minutes. Take the grinder jar and  add the red chilly, small onions,garlic, tamarind and salt.


 


                                                                                                                                                        
Grind it till everything smooth. Then add the grated coconut, little water and grind it coarsely.




Pour it to a small bowl. Serve it for dosas with a tsp of gingely oil. This thuvaiyal tastes good for curd rice also.
