How to prepare Drumstick leaves thuvaram (Drumstick leaves stir fry)

Ingredients
- 1 bunch drumstick greens
- 20 small onions
- 4 tbsp cooked toor dal
- 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/4 tsp mustard
- 1/4 tsp urid dal
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- salt
For Coconut paste
- 1/4 cup grated coconut
- 4 small onions
- 3 garlic
- 1/2 tsp jeera
- 1 dry red chilly
Clean and remove the leaves from the stem and chop the small onions.
Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard seeds and urid dal. When they splutters add the chopped small onions.
When the onions are soft add the washed drumstick leaves. Stir it continuously for few seconds. Then sprinkle a handful of water over the leaves and cook for few minutes on low flame. Do not cook covered with lid. Sprinkle some more water if necessary.
The volume will reduce as it is cooking. Now add the cooked toor dal, turmeric powder, salt and ground coconut paste. Now increase the flame and stir it continuously till the coconut mixture is well coated on the leaves.
Finally add the coconut oil and give a quick stir for a minute. Delicious drumstick leaves thuvaram is ready.
